Imani Sims (They/Them) is an agender non-binary Black lesbian, future dog mom, turtleneck lover, and super cool aunt. Their work regarding advocacy began in 2017 on GLSEN’s National Student Council, though advocacy has been their niche since they could talk. Currently, as a junior at Kent State University, they are majoring in Pan-African Studies and minoring in LGBTQ+ Studies. In the future, they will use their studies to further advance their community and to start their nonprofit with the focus of Black and trans liberation. Imani’s ancestors keep them going and continue to fuel their ambitious spirit.
