My name is Justin, I am 18 years old. I’m a senior at AYS, and I have 2 siblings. I came out as transgender when I was 15, and since then I felt so much better, but it’s so tricky. It’s lovely to be yourself, but hard when people don’t respect you, but you can never let that get you down.
I tried to be a happy person, and I had issues thinking I wasnt good enough because I’m different. Then I has my cousin, Ryan, who accepted me right away tell me, “You be who you are, be who you are for you, not anyone else”, and it’s something I live by.
I changed my appearance, cut my hair, talked deeper, changed my clothes, and did anything to be masculine. I still do. I’m so proud of who I am, and you should be too. You’re never not good enough.
